General information
D-Light parallel modules are aimed at short
distance (<500m) high data rate communications (>1Gbps)
on multiple optical fibers. Each fiber of the module defines an
independent optical channel that can be modulated separately.
D-Light modules are available in versions compatible with fiber
ribbons or with several individual fibers.
D-Light modules offer the following key features: mechanical integration,
low power consumption, operation within severe environments.
D-Light modules integrate state-of-the-art 850-nm AlGaAs VCSEL
and GaAs PIN photodiode arrays and low power consumption multiple
channel CMOS electronics. D-Light modules optical interfaces consist
of either 50/125 or 62.5/125 µm multimode fibers/ribbonspigtails.
In the case of fiber ribbon versions, the pigtails are terminated
by MT ferrule compatible connectors. In the case of multiple individual
pigtails, the pigtails are terminated by the end-user specified
terminus or connector.
D-Light modules are protocol independent. Each channel can be
addressed independently and can be applied to Gigabit Ethernet,
Fibre Channel, Infiniband or any specific communication application.
